In collaboration with the department of Art History and Latino/a Studies at Kenyon, The Gund is excited to host the Executive Director of Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, Maria Gaztambide. Dr. Gaztambide will spend the day engaging with Kenyon students followed by a distinguished lecture in the evening.

Maria Gaztambide’s career has spanned roles as historian, curator, and administrator, focusing on Latin American and Caribbean art, enhancing public art and accessibility, working with archival material and expanding narratives of art.

This lecture will give us an overview of her practice and will give us an opportunity to discuss with her of the challenges and opportunities of leading Puerto Rico's preeminent art museum today.
