In celebration of Kenyon College's 200th anniversary, The Gund is proud to present an exhibition featuring a distinguished selection of artworks from the collections of our esteemed alumni. With this selection, The Gund aims to expand the ways in which we learn from art and artists. This exhibition honors our alumni's contributions to our robust curricular programs developed to engage our community of learners with art. The curricular engagement program at The Gund empowers faculty and students in all academic departments to deeply explore course topics and issues through challenging dialogue focused on modern and contemporary art. Through assignments tailored to enrich the content of each course, we create opportunities that promote and fuel the advancement of visual literacy, critical thinking, and invite dynamic conversations among peers and instructors. As a teaching museum, we are committed to offering students direct experiences with art and artists of exceptional merit, both emerging and established, so that students may gain new perspectives that inspire rigorous intellectual and creative investment in their studies. Through our work with faculty, students, artists, and colleagues in the museum world, we aim to foster an ethos that is both welcoming and intellectually courageous, inviting dialogue, curiosity, and critical thinking.
